Another recc for McLean here. Our DD is there and loves it, and she has ADHD but no other learning challenges.

NP here, but I'm guessing when OP wrote LD, she meant language-based learning disabilities, like dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia. ADHD is not language based, and so needs a different approach. (Although, of course, many kids have both)

We're at JDS and DS has moderate ADHD. I know a lot of people post that JDS is not good for ADHD but we've been thrilled with the support we have been receiving. DS gets lots of running around time outside and differentiation. Small class sizes and a great community help to build tolerance from others. DS is medicated so that probably moves his ADHD from moderate to mild during the day.

Can anyone suggest good private schools in MD that would work well for a student who has ADHD but no learning disabilities. Our son is very social and we hate to take him out of public school, but we feel he needs smaller classes, but he also needs to be challenged. He is 10....Thanks so much!
