Same here. My kids' activity level actually increases right before bedtime (I believe it's related to fatigue even though that sounds counter intutitive) but nothing like you describe.

I don't think it's a normal ADHD thing. Talk to your doctor and make sure there's not something else going on (like medication withdrawal or something related to the seizures).

My son has difficulty controlling his body - ADHD, but no seizures. But, there isn't so much thrashing around - some when he was younger, but just not to the extreme you are describing. When this happened, I would sort of roll him into a ball and rock him until his body settled down. Is it possibly related to the seizures or medication wearing off?

At that age,my son did the same. Our psychiatrist had him try melatonin which was an amazing help. We gave him 1 mg 30 minutes before bed and it calmed him down and allowed him to fall asleep.

My son twitches around some, but then completely conks out. Is he getting daily exercise? Have you tried melatonin?

My child who has been diagnosed with add at 4 but who also has had two seizures is recently having an insanely hard time controlling his body all day but especially at bedtime. He's literally thrashing himself about the bed to get to sleep. It's violent and scary and takes hours. Is this normal at all?
