This works very well in theory but tough to do in practice. For example in my situation, we don't have family close by that I can depend on. Even if we did, my parents are not physically able to watch my children. In addition, I have no idea what snow day camps will be available or open until a closure is announced. Last time, I got an email from one of the snow days camp I have used in past that they were going to be open, they were sold out in about 15 minutes. However, what I do know for sure if that my employer will expect me to be working despite school being open or closed. There you see, lies the problem.
