Probably. I would follow Capital Weather Gang through this evening though. They should have a pretty good grasp on the risk of ice by this evening. If there isn't much ice they'll probably open because snow ---> rain will just wash away. I would expect at minimum a 2 hour delay.

This works very well in theory but tough to do in practice. For example in my situation, we don't have family close by that I can depend on. Even if we did, my parents are not physically able to watch my children. In addition, I have no idea what snow day camps will be available or open until a closure is announced. Last time, I got an email from one of the snow days camp I have used in past that they were going to be open, they were sold out in about 15 minutes. However, what I do know for sure if that my employer will expect me to be working despite school being open or closed. There you see, lies the problem.


Talk to your neighbor's and trade days. Find ONE family. Then you will only have to worry about every fourth day. It can be done. It isn't really that difficult. Most of my friends do not have family either. Make connections. Talk to the HS student next door and make an arrangement.
