Why Rhodes? What do you know about it? Also, what's the difference between U of Alabama and Auburn?

Rhodes and U of Alabama are very conservative. U of Alabama is more conservative than Auburn. A book called The Alumni Factor breaks down schools in just about every way you can, including political leanings.

No, too liberal for you. Look at University of Alabama, Washington and Lee and Liberty University.

However, I sure wish you looked at college as an opportunity to open your mind instead.

Doesn't your school have a college counselor or someone to bounce ideas off of? It's so odd to me that a high schooler frequents DCUM to pool a bunch of moms.

No, you would not be happy there. The Episcopal Church is so left of center that you would stick out like a sore thumb. Do you not pay attention to the news?

Never heard of it. Where is it and where do you want to settle after college? A regional school is best if you intend to stay local to it where it has some name recognition.

You claim to support death or exile for anyone that is not a conservative Protestant, banning liberalism and you are against free speech.

You need to get your sh!t together.

You need to get your shit together. Go back to your safe space.

If you had your way virtually everyone on DCUM WOULD need a safe space. So why do you turn for us for advice?

You are asking a bunch of very uptight moms. We probably have no idea.

That said, 16:18 is a snot.

Knowing what you guys know about me (preppy, WASPy, Pat Buchanan conservative) would Sewanee fit me? Someone just recommended it to me, and it seems like a good school. I've heard that there are a good number of preppy conservatives, and the faculty is quite moderate. Is this true? Would I be comfortable at Sewanee? I am absolutely fine with a moderate student body, as long as there are a good number of preppy conservative students, and the faculty isn't ultra-Liberal.
