OP again. Thank you for your realty testing my thinking/feelings. It is hard, and even if accepted, I'm still unsure!

At most schools, the admissions interviews are divided amongst the admissions staff. The AD takes a portfolio of applicants, the same as the others, plus any tagged by the Head. Don't read a thing into it. Better to have an Admissions Associate enthusiastic about your child than passing interest by the AD.

I second that it is normal to second guess everything. I'm doing the same. I'm even wondering if things I thought where positive where in fact negative (like my DC running up to the AD, who she never met before, and giving her a hug). I began to worry that she might interpret as my DC being too friendly, not catious enough of strangers, etc., etc., etc. LOL

The reality is I have no way of knowing what she really thought or if it would even matter. I'm just ready for March 1!

What if you met with AD, and they said that they very much enjoyed your DC, that DC would be perfect for the school and they very much hope to see DC at the school next year?

It's so easy to feel paranoid during this process. I am always second guessing even the briefest interactions with the AD and assistant ADs (older kids are at the school where youngest is currently applying). It's like having a crush in high school--you interpret every interaction and interaction looking for a sign. It's terrible, this waiting....
