I will be following this thread. I also cut my sons hair myself BUT it is still long enough to put in a ponytail. He has CRAZY hair.. big curls/waves, thick and super full... I have no idea how to give him a proper short haircut.

+5. I cut my son's hair too but only use scissors bc he hates the clippers. Do I good job if I do say so myself

I do both my son's and my husbands. Get one of the clippers (if that doesn't distress your child) and its a few quick passes and done.

I just always cut my boys' hair myself. I do my daughter's too, but she's NT. The boys hate to go out to get it cut and it's not very hard to do.

My DS with HFA with requesting to get his haircut at home. Does anyone know of a mobile hairdresser that will come home? We live in upper nw DC.
