Man, you people must not drink as much as I do.

When I cut out wine, etc., the pounds fall off.

Less than 5 lbs over the course of a dry year. But I wasn't a daily drinker. My boss quit drinking (nightly Scotch) and lost 30 lbs.

None for me (female). But when my husband stops drinking, he loses 5+ lbs with the month.

So far, I've gained 20 pounds, but I gave it up for pregnancy.

Yup none. Everyone kept saying this is what must have been holding me back given my otherwise squeaky clean diet. Still can't lose. But I am sleeping better.

70 pounds in 6 months.

I was a wino. With that wine I liked to eat salty snacks and cheese. At night, watching tv.

I quit because of a health problem so both went away.

Didn't lose a ounce.

I don't lose weight but I don't drink beer. My brother gave up beer and lost 5kgs.

Gained 5 because I ate more at night rather than filling up on wine.

Assuming you give up noting else, how much did you lose removing alcohol alone, and did it come off quickly, or over an amount of time? Assuming an active person who has a decent diet otherwise.
