They give so much financial aid that there isn't as much of a display of wealth as you would think. Even the uber wealthy are low key and very understated. There is a lot of old money there, means people do not talk about money or display what they have that much. We were pleasantly surprised by this.

This has nothing to do with Beauvoir or STA. This is life. Most of the community gets along very well. Let me guess - you are the two faced mom that pretends to listen then gossips about everyone equally. People are aware of two faced people. It doesn't take long to see through it.

Well, like any other school, you can get a bad teacher. Or one that was not a "good fit" for our kid. Did not reapply. Teacher had "connections" so we didn't even want to bring it up to the administration. In a lot of ways,
It's a great school. But as I've said before, the six million dollar playground doesn't matter if you've got a dud teacher that you can't complain about.

You sound pretty petty yourself. If you are so above the fray, why are you hanging out posting on a thread that has nothing to do with you? Your post wreaks of something odd.

We chose NPS instead as well.

We have two at Beauvoir and love it. With that said, yes, of course Beauvoir is not everyone's first choice. I have a friend who chose WIS over Beauvoir and it was definitely the right choice for their kids, they are very happy. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the schools, even the ones you don't initially get the best vibe from. It's wonderful that there are so many different schools to chose from. As an aside, although I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the things on this forum, I've found the parent body to be really warm and down to earth. Very sweet community

I loved it, but I agree with the PPs -- it's all about what you are looking for in a school. Personally, I like the focus on the early years. I like the idea of focusing on a shorter of period of time over sort of committing to one school for thirteen years. I like the idea that all of the schools resources are dedicated to the early years (no competing for resources against the high school athletic departments, etc).

It's not for everyone

It was over the top for us. Our smaller school is a better fit. More down to earth.

Lots of people choose not to go there. Others love it. It all comes down to fit.

Anybody choose not to go to Beauvoir? I didn't think it was that great.
