I'm bumping this thread because I'm considering sending my kids to S&K's for Summer 2018 at Van Ness. Any feedback from last year would be appreciated, especially as it pertains to the youngest campers.
Thank you!

My girls did Steve and Kate for 65% of last summer and we regretted the weeks that we didn't have that camp because they absolutely loved it and loved the consistency. So this summer, they are going to only do Steve and Kate for their camp time. From a parents perspective, I wish they had swimming but we are happy to supplement with evening swim time and weekends at the pool.

Any good camps similar to this one that are on the Hill or pick up from the Hill (I know about Tony's). For 4 and 5 years old (rising K). Thanks!

The daycare at DOL does a summer camp program. They increase their numbers by about one class size. Maybe 20 extra kids total? It is a fairly low key program, but it runs from 7:30-6:00 and is really good for that age bracket. Not sure if they still have any space but it might be worth a shot if you are still looking for something.

How much would the pricing be at the Steve and Kate's?

Oh, and its right across the street from that nice new playground at the Randall Rec center, isn't it?

Busy Bees and Polite piggys. I have done both with my kids and liked them. I think they are better for a 4 year old than Mr. Tony's which we've also done. We haven't been Steve and Kate's but heard great things about it. One family who used it all summer said they felt it was a little too girl oriented

We know of Tony's adventure camp but that's it.

My DD did Steve and Kate's (at Brent) for most of the summer last year (at 6) and she really liked it. I keep asking her (with respect to this summer) "would you like to also do a week of xx camp here and there to mix it up or Steve and Kate's" - and the response is usually "Steve and Kate's"

I'm considering sending DD (7) to Steve & Kate's this summer. I've searched the archives and read the reviews here but haven't seen much discussion about sending kids there for the full summer. How common is that? Any ideas on what percentage of campers have a full "membership" as opposed to families that just use the camp for occasional drop-ins?

DD will most likely spend at week at her grandparent's house and another week on a family vacation but would be in camp 4-5 days/week for the remainder of the summer. Are there other BTDT experiences out in DCUM-land? Would she have the opportunity to develop friendships with kids who would be there on a regular basis? Would the lack of structure get boring? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
