Subject: have you taken the catacombs tour in Paris?
Could a 5 and 7 year old do a catacombs tour? I don't think the skeletons will bother them, but can they make the walk down?

It's super cool. Lots of steps and walking. The entrance is hard to find so make sure you have a good map.

Buy your tickets online before you go to avoid the lines. You will get a timed entry.

The archaeological tour of Notre Dame (under the cathedral) where you can see the ancient Roman baths, etc. is wheelchair accessible.

They are teens, so I think it will be ok.

It's great, but depending on the age of your kids (if any going), they might not like it. It's a lot of walking and kind of scary for kids.

PP here - yes, it's great. Another great "underground" Paris tour is the Musee des egouts - the sewer tour. I loved that - if you've seen Les Mis you'll probably enjoy it too

Yes! So fun and fascinating. We went about an hour before it opened and still had to wait in a long line to get in. There's a coffee shop right there, though, so one of us went and got coffee and pastries and we had that while we waited. My teen daughter (17) said it was her favorite part of Paris.
