Because I find it hard to believe. For one thing, m ost of the work is done by contractors hired by the airlines. That does not excuse the low pay, but they are not normally paid by the airline directly.

That is one janitor job that should pay well. Does a TSA person check their work or inspect the plane? What if they are in collusion with terrorists or are terrorists?
