I would not even go, but if you are compelled, stick what you would have spent in an envelope ($60) with a photo of the big ticket item on her registry and write this is to put towards your 1,200.oo stroller or whatever......

I know! There is also a 7 pack that is $145 or something.

I usually am more of a 40% off at Baby Gap kind of buyer. And I put my little babies in a lot of Carters because it is cute and cheap. I think I might have spent $50 or so for their coming home outfits but beyond that, I didn't spend a ton. They grow so quickly at that age!

I would do a whole bunch of board books with a gift receipt. Pick the ones that are a little less popular, no Goodnight Moon for example, so they're less likely to be duplicates.

A selection of board books or a gift card to the registry store they selected at the price point you want. People are so stupid and greedy sometimes -- they probably won't get much from the registry if it's so off-putting.

Fine in that case. I usually tell people to sick to the registry but that depends on someone making a reasonable registry. Yup not have a variety of price points is really rude I think

A basket sounds nice. I also think it's fine to get lower priced clothing from another store. Just supply a gift receipt so they can exchange if they want.
