My son has an IEP and left APS for one of the schools in the Arlington Diocese. His IEP was more like a 504 with requests for accommodations (extended time, shorten assignments is mastery is demonstrated...) but kid who have a need for small group instruction tend to get tutors outside of school. Same with speech or OT-those kids tend to go for help outside of school. WHen my son needed OT it was an excused absence, but we paid out of pocket. If you call the HQ for the Diocese, they can give you a list of providers parents like and even suggest which schools have more resources.

Hello, We are considering transferring our 8 year old daughter to St. Marks next year. we are impressed with the structure, learning approach and class size. Would welcome any information, input or experiences to help us make this decision. Are your kids happy there? What is homework like? How "Catholic" is this catholic school (i.e. more socially progressive or more akin to Arlington diocese rigidity). Thank you in advance!
