Why? No, really. WHY?

A friend of mine did it a couple years ago and regrets it. Has had a couple issues with them and they also make her look heavier in general. She said it's not worth it.

No. Why do unnecessary surgery.

I'm only 31 and in the same boat (size A, breastfed my kids, etc). My favorite teacher died this summer at the age of 53 after being diagnosed two years ago with breast cancer. If you have breast implants, it can be more difficult to detect breast cancer. The implant can obstruct the view and delay treatment for the cancer, which leads to a 26% higher rate of the cancer spreading than in someone that didn't have implants.

With that said, I'm going to consider a breast lift. There isn't much to lift, but I'm on the fence about implants.

I would not do it. Most implants rupture or leak over time and can cause a myriad of health problems. Look it up.

Auto immune issues, no thanks. Don't risk it.

Go for 'em! I did implants at 51 after breast cancer, and one of my friends did hers at 59. She had breast-fed her children and wanted to be a small B. No problems for either of us.

I think you should go for it. I was an A cup, had always thought about going bigger but never did it. Igot diagnosed with breasts cancer at age 40. Opted for a double reconstructive mastectomy and decided to go a bit bigger to a B cup. Plus the new girls are perpetually perky. I love them. I feel more confident, and whether it's the bigger boobs or my confidence, people treat me differently. Great decision overall.

OP, if I did get them we'd be talking B Cup at the most. Not looking for anything overly fake looking. I've always been barely an A Cup so just thinking about something slightly larger so I have some type of chest. After having 3 kids as an A Cup, I don't have much left.

I would go for it. I don't know of any additional health risks due to age but as a PP said do note that they are supposed to be replaced every 10 years.

I think implants look matronly when done on an older woman. I was watching real housewives of BH the other night and just couldn't get over how ridiculous Lisa Vanderpumps implants look on a woman her age.

Get them done! 50 is young and look good!!

Don't do it. I got them in my late 20s and you have to get them redone every ten years I think. You don't want that.
I wish I could turn back time.

Anyone had breast implants after 50? Wondering if it's to late or unsafe at this age. Always been a small A cup and would love to be a slightly larger. 3 kids took its toll on them also. I'm still physically in great shape and look 5 or 10 years younger then I am. Any stories/suggestions out there?
