OP - what about your husband? Your issues (assuming there are issues in your relationship/life/whatever since he's cheating) don't magically disappear if you make your self feel better that she'll watch bravo and eat ice cream... Good luck to you.

I wonder how it must feel for some wives to know their husbands are no longer in love with them, and if it weren't for the kids (or the whole philosophy of "it's cheaper to keep her") he'd leave you. And once he gets rid of one OW, there is another one around the corner. I hope you're having your own affairs and you at least acknowledge the arrangement you're in.

Seems like you are implying your life is less sad than hers. You are looking forward to retiring with and growing old with a cheater? That doesn't sound like a winning situation to me.

The draw of an affair is I never have to deal with his laundry or sharing bills and parenting. More power to those who want to grow old with him.

OP, I understand you might need to tell yourself this is how it turns out, but it probably mostly doesn't.

And why would you want to retire to a nice big home on the water with a husband who cheats on you? He'll be there too, right? Won't that kind of ruin it?

Are you really not familiar with the concept of multiple marriages? I am not an OW, nor would I ever be, but you sound really naive. I hope you're not being cheated on, but if you are you should start protecting assets now.

Um, it works great because I never want to leave my husband either. Most OW are married .
