Are you trying to be funny? Different poster here but all of this is entirely unacceptable. I'm a person of color living on Capitol Hill. Eastern our inbounds school. They've been failing DC students for years, and it seems they can't keep them safe either. If you think otherwise you're deluding yourself.

This is just sad sad sad. What an epic failure of a school.

Correct - dc police, metro police, secret service, federal protective service, guardian angels, parents, neighborhood watch and whom so ever else that has our students' safety a priority.

The actual game was incident and error free...it was a great basketball game for all who attended. It was just horrendous for this to happen during the time when our students were departing to go home.

This was not about a rowdy basketball game, this is about the criminal element of someone using an illegal firearm in the vicinity of a school.

I hope all of those surveillance cameras and ADT security cameras that are located near the school captures good images. But more importantly I want witnesses to come forward...this was not a sniper attack.

Please don't point fingers, let's try to put our finger on the pulse to help our youths.

To shoot into a crowd of students/spectators is unforgiving. I agree I hope every surveillance camera is able to capture the person who committed this crime.

Whoa... NBC4 made it sound less brazen like it didn't have to do with the game. Hopefully they will find the person...

Why would anyone bring a gun to or around an activity involving children? The game was at capacity level and they were not letting in anyone else into the gym. Allegedly, the spectator(s) was upset and took out his anger on the attendees as they exited the game. Hopefully all the surveillance cameras in the neighborhood will catch the culprit(s).

At the end of the game, while students and spectators leaving a gunman open fire on the crowd. The students were shot in the ankles/foot, allegedly the gunman stood on the opposite side of the school and shot into the crowd. The brazen attack was unnerving to all and prayerfully everyone is recovering and resting with comfort.
