Glad you don't or didn't attend SS. We like the current administration.

I'm sympathetic to the folks who feel burned from the last move (we were on the waitlist then, so I had skin in that game), but it seems like the new administration is doing their best to secure a great space.

Looking forward to news and pulling for the current families and the school.

Honestly, it was worse than a debacle. The administration lied and only when contradictory information was revealed on this forum did they even admit to the school families that they had done so. Total disregard for the needs of the families to know the location so they could plan their lives. It was an example of how not to do PR, and frankly, a good reason not to choose the school if the same people are still at the helm.

New PP here. It was absolutely a debacle. I know several people who dropped out of the school because of it.

I do wonder how much it will get fractured if the move is somewhere far from its current location.

It was a mess. I definitely got the impression from the Executive Director that she did not care at all about how this would affect our various commutes. I would've felt a lot more warmly about the situation if she had been even a little bit sympathetic to families' concerns about the commute, the school's stability, etc., but her attitude (at least to me and a couple of other families who are no longer with the school) was that if we were truly committed, we would drive wherever they decided to move.

When I asked them at EdFest, they were very clear that they were only looking at places close to the current location. I guess we'll see.

It was a debacle. We lived through it and so glad the original founders were kicked out over it.

Debacle!? Go away and back to your school. Two years ago...really - and in a real estate market that that is highly competitive and that they didn't control. From our experience with the school they have a solid and quite professional administrative/leadership team. SS will no doubt announce when theyve cleared all hurdles. Don't want the '2- years ago debale crowd' crowing or shaking their heads.

The last word from the school on the subject was that there would be an announcement "very soon." So ¯\_(?)_/¯, maybe in the next coupe of weeks?

I hope they don't announce this time until all the papers are signed. What a debacle that was two years ago.
