I used to wear black back seam hosiery all of the time, back when VS carried hosiery. I think I will look for hosiery as fall approaches.

I can remember my mom talking about how seamless hose were such a great invention! (I'm pretty old.) She said it was soooo hard to get the seams straight. Did you know that during the depression and during the war, women would take an eyebrow pencil and draw a seam on their legs so it would look like they were wearing hose?

I think they sound great with beautiful shoes. Do it! It's pretty subtle and I see women wear fishnets out.

My DH has a bit of a fetish for nylon stockings (on me); I indulge him whenever practical.
He recently bought me a pair in sheer nude with a black back seam; I would love to meet him for dinner wearing them but I've never – and I mean never have seen anyone wearing them unless it was on TV or Kelly McGillis in Top Gun.
I have a slightly below the knee pencil skirt that I thought would go nicely with them but I've never worn anything like this outside of our second floor!

I'm feeling a little self-conscious already and I'm starting to think that this might just be something for in-home entertainment.
