Unless the GAI will change the score by more than 7 points, the GAI will not be of help. It has to be statistically significant, which is considered above a 7 point amount from the FSIQ.

A good proxy for the GAI benchmark would be the benchmark for CoGAT or NNAT, which is likely around 132.

Not a perfect comparison, but the 123 is lower than would be terribly competitive. However, a subscore in PRI or VCI that is about 135ish could be of interest to the committee.

Based on the numbers you see at DCUM, a 123 GAI (with presumably a lower FSIQ) is going to be difficult unless you have a higher COGAT and/or a very high GBRS. FWIW, my daughter has a 129 FSIQ (131 verbal) with a pretty low NNAT (unknown COGAT and unknown but likely fairly high GBRS) and I feel like she is maybe 50-50 to get in.

BTW Does anyone have experience applying with a GAI score? If so any feedback on results? My oldest tested into the pool so did not have to go through all of this

GAI was 94% His FSIQ was brought down by a poor working memory and processing speed.

GAI doesn't include Working Memory. Are you talking about his FSIQ being 94% or his GAI?

Does anyone any kind of benchmark for GAI (General Ability Index) as part of the WISC. My son scored 94% but looking at some of the numbers and posts on this website, that does not seem as good as I initially thought . HIs Verbal IQ was 124 but the total brought down by poor working memory score. He did not get great NNAT and I am still anxiously awaiting the CoGat. Our school rep stated this years GBRS are not available to review.
