Hi Moms and Dads,

I’m a Washington Post reporter and I’m working on a story about consumers who are more interested in spending on “experiences” – i.e. travel and dining out – than on buying “stuff” like clothes or the latest handbag.

I figured many of you in this travel discussion thread likely fit that description! I’m looking to chat with people who might share a little bit with me about why you prefer spending your money this way; whether you’ve always been that way or if this is a new mindset for you; and so on. If you’re up for it, please shoot me a message at sarah.halzack@washpost.com or reach me at 202-334-7658.

Best,
Sarah Halzack
