OP - sorry this is happening for you. Ignore the idiots who will come on DCUM and tell you to relax or work it out or some sh*t. We haven't had to go this route with my parents (thankfully) but they are abusive and crazy in a way that other people don't get. Do what you need to do to keep you and your family safe. Good luck!

First of all, I'm sorry you are going through this OP. If you do a search on here, I posted a few years back about my crazy mother trying to take/pick up my daughter from school. We did call the police and were told that we could file the order, but we decided to just send her a very stern warning letter from our attorney and obviously notified the school she was not permitted under any circumstances to be there. It worked and she hasn't tried anything like that since. I'm glad that we didn't file the order but were still able to get our point across.

People don't realize what an awful feeling it is to even have to contemplate something like this against your own parent. Hugs to you.

The school piece is fairly easily handled. I know at our school we can specify who has access to the kids and who cannot. I would start there before getting a restraining order unless there's a concern about physical harm of some sort.

What did they do? You need a good reason.
