PP I would love to drive this girl to school as well as some of the other kids who I see walking to school in the snow or rain, sometimes they are not dressed appropriately for the weather. If my son was friends with these kids or I knew the parents, I would definitely offer to help. These kids have parents and they are aware of the weather conditions, I do not think it would be appropriate for me to pick up these kids, though there are many times when I would love to stop my car and drive these kids to school.

OP, when it's 17 degrees out can you pick the girl up and drop her off with your son?

Very nice and kind of her. It is okay even if it is breaking the rules for good reason , especially when it comes to children.
I am sure the driver knew she was taking the risk but did it out of kindness. God bless her!

That's great. We have a great bus driver for our route and I make sure to commend him and share with the front office.

Rules are just guidelines meant to be broken if it means that humanity is saved. In this kind of weather, the bus driver is a hero. You heard the OP, she has seen the same child walk to school in other conditions many times before. This was obviously a kind-hearted bus driver just wanting to help a kid out.

The bus driver stopped to take the girl to school. It was 7am this morning. How thoughtful of this bus driver. It was 17 degrees this morning. Normally the school doors do not open until 7:15, but, when I got there at 7 they were letting students inside. Just thought I'd share something nice.
