Only people I know who read them, read a ton of them and nothing in their lives ever seems to change. Therapy helps, though.

Deepak Chopra's meditation cds changed my life. They helped me to get out of a toxic work situation, saved my marriage, and made me a better parent.

The Dance of Anger is a good one, geared specifically toward women. It helped me understand that my resentment/anger toward my husband was a pattern of behavior for both of us and how to stop the cycle.

I took the lessons of the Rules to heart (I read it when I was 17) and never pursued men. It has served me well in life.

Yes, absolutely. Although I suppose you have to be careful if you are suggestible. There is a lot of crap out there.

I just started reading the four agreements and it talks about how jealousy, not taking things personal, etc and how rejection is more a reflection of how we are feeling about ourselves, but it's helping a tad. Anyone else?
