In some cases, it works out like that but a majority of women will not initiate and rightfully so. You are the man, the leader, the breadwinner but can't ask out a woman for coffee? That's just not normal.

Well you're married so you aren't available to spend your money on a woman other than your wife at this point so why do you care if someone prefers a traditional set up?

Any woman can initiate if she wants to. Just as any woman can prefer a man to initiate.

I would initiate because if a guy can't handle having a woman ask him out, he's not right for me and I'd rather know that now.

Let's say you meet a guy today...it's an accidental meeting at a store. You have good convo for several minutes. He seems very interested. You exchange numbers.

He texts you later in the day saying it was nice to meet you. You respond in kind.

Now, should he initiate the first official call/request for a date? If so, when? Is it possible that he'd wait for me to call? I hope not. I tend to be pretty traditional, so I much prefer guys who initiate. Is that reasonable?
