You aren't footing the bill for her recreational shopping. Leave it alone.

Regarding the money she has saved, if there is a divorce you need to remember that she has the money because that's joint money despite her "hiding" it from you.

Very odd and you need to look into this more. She obviously has money issues and her father and you are now tied into it

Also Nordstrom credit cards can be used like regular credit cards. It's not a store card.

My wife is a sahm . She works very part time from home. I take care of everything and have never asked her to pay living expenses. She just told me her father pays off her Nordstrom credit card each month. This year she spent over 20k on the Nordstrom card. She just brought it up because she got a giftcard from Nordstrom for being a frequent shopper.

She says she's fine with her father doing this because she's an only children and he still likes to spoil her. We've been married 5 years and I am just finding out about this. Is this strange? I do buy her clothes and other stuff. I give her a budget of $500/month and she always deducts it from our joint checking at the beginning of the month. She asked me for this amount before we had kids. She used to be a nanny and told me she didn't want to work without out any pay haha

Apparently she's been saving the $500 I give her and all the money from her writing job too for the last 5 years. She's very secretive about her savings. I've asked her many times but she won't say anything.
