I wrote this. For me it didn't. At 17, I had a crush on a teacher who was late 40s-early 50s and my preferred age range stuck there. I grew out of the crushes and started dating men my own age, but I still found the guys in that age range the most attractive. I just got closer and closer to them in age. Now, I'm no longer at an age where anyone would pathologize it.

Different poster here. I have always liked older men, too. I haven't grown out of it. I'm 48 and like men in their 60s.

I'm married. I'm female.
He's married.
He's brilliant and highly ethical, which is critical for his job (high up in law enforcement).
I'm sure he does not feel similarly to me. But even if he did, I'd never act on it. I love my husband and I'm ethical, too. I'm just happy there are people like him in the world.
