This has become a tradition on DCUM this time of the year. Without fail a thread starts bashing this woman… I have never seen her show and don't even know how she looks like. Just an observation.

I caught part of a Christmas show this afternoon. Part of it was Ham with a glaze, gingerbread cookies with royal icing and punch with sherbert and cranberry juice. Wow, really? My grandma has been making that for probably 50 years. I guess my assumption is that she offers nothing original.

I have never seen her show or cooked any of her recipes, but man I'm jealous! How come I didn't marry a cowboy and give up city living for a ranch, a blog and a cute dog? I can cast no stones.

Not just you OP I don't care for her either. Her recipes are the least appetizing I've seen on TV. But I think she also doesn't translate on video as well as Ree does on her blog. The blog is far more interesting and entertaining.

I don't know if it's her voice or her 70s potluck food or what comes off as a total lack of personality, but man, does she annoy me.

I miss the days when I felt like I learned something from watching cooking shows. Give me Ina or Bobby Flay or Tom Colicchio or pretty much ANYONE any day over her.
