Just because you are begged to do something doesn't mean you have to do it. Stay there for Christmas Eve into Christmas Day only; hotel the rest of the time. That's a compromise.

Flying out tomorrow and dreading everything- the long flight, the uncomfortable guest room with one mattress where my two toddlers and my husband are expected to sleep together, the bad weather, my patronizing FIL and bitchy MIL. UGH.

Sorry for the rant but I'm just dreading it all. And to make it worse I did all the packing, laundry, cleaning, errands because DH had a big project at work. Of course it never occurred to him to be nice and thank me either.

And before anyone asks, we are begged to stay "under the same roof", otherwise I'd be happier at a hotel.
