You six year old might not be tall enough to ride the main rides. It is really cool visually and he will like it, but he won't remember it. I'd wait three years for this trip.

Another plus 1 here. We go to all the parks, every year and universal is not for children that young. There are not many rides for them.

Agree. I'd do MK or Hollywood Studios, bur not Universal for that age group.

If you are creative you can write a fun, Seuss style rhyming poem about the adventure you are about to go on and put it in an envelope for them to open.

Are you going over Christmas break? Like "pack your bags, we are going on vacation"?

The Dr Seuss area at one of the universal parks is adorable and my 6 and 4 yo loved it, just FYI.

True, but since it is a major part of their Christmas gifts, I thought having something to physically give them would be fun.

They don't need to be surprised. Going is plenty of excitement.

My DH and I are surprising our 3 and 5 year old sons with a trip to Universal Studios as a (major) part of their Christmas gifts. I wanted to know if any of you had any ideas on how to go about doing that? Most of what I find online is for older children. If it helps, they both like Jurassic World and Minions and my oldest likes Harry Potter.
