My MIL and FIL each have iPads and are getting my MIL's sister one for Christmas. Old people love iPads.

iPad has changed my MIL's life. I think she would have given up by now but she has a real interest in movies and online shows, along with checking Facebook of her grandkids. We set up a Skype 'security' camera too showing our nursery so she can watch the kids whenever she wants.

I like my nook which is Samsung Galaxy I believe. They come in two sizes, and I have the smaller one. All the functionality of an ipad w/o the ridiculous price tag.

I got my dad an iPad in hospice. Not kidding.
He lived another year and a half.

He could facetime, do email, look at photos, and surf the web.

He also had apps for bill paying, which was good. He was an accountant & having control of the bills was important to him.

Show his how to make the font bigger.

I'd get the regular iPad air with retina. The pro is really big. Mini is probably too small.

The new iPad pro is really quite large but light.

My inlaws, who are more mobile than your dad, are addicted to their iPads. They have an iPad air.

My dad is confined to house most of the time... mostly his chair and bed, unfortunately. The last computer he had was a desktop. What device would be best for basic surfing, videos, and email while seated in a recliner with his legs up? Have thought about an Ipad mini, but that might be too small for his eyesight. Thanks!!
