There could possibly be limits on this if you're in a ward for seriously immune-compromised patients, where even visitors are asked to wear paper gowns or scrubs. But I doubt you'd be asking if that's where you were headed.

I was hospitalized for several weeks in the ICU and couldn't stay warm in a gown, so the nurses helped me cut holes in a warm long-sleeve T so I could wear it under my gown and still have access for the various monitors, IVs, and other tubes.

+1 for the grippy socks.

I wore my own pjs sometimes. Anything else was too much to contemplate. I did like the grippy socks.

It depends what they are doing to you. When I have had procedures, it is gowns for days, so they could check on the scars. When I was in for Chemo type things, I could wear clothing. Frankly, if I feel well enough to care what I wear, it is time to go home.

Never been in hospital before. Can I wear regular clothes (as long as they can get to area they are working on),or do I have to wear that thin gown? Thanks
