According to the NAGC document, applications for Title I grants will begin in July 2016 and other federal grant programs will go into effect in October 2016. I would think these may include some sort of effect on the FY 2017 FCPS budget.
It is still too early for Fairfax to even figure out how to do it as NOTHING has been codified. It is insane to think that FCPS has a plan two days after the legislation was approved, when there isn't even a procedure for how to do it yet. Two days is not even enough time to properly read through the document that was actually passed- IME many things are removed or slipped in at the end and no one knows they are there until they read the final version. I am sure they are aware of it and are
making plans to see what the actual requirements will be to quailify for the funding.
