Was there NEVER a fight at your middle school? I went to public school in the whitest of white towns in the whitest part of the United States. Yes, there were occasional fights. This isn't about "diversity." It's about the toxic stew of hormones and aggression that characterizes middle school.

Tell your child to stay away from the kids who make her feel unsafe. It is hard in a new school but she needs to learn and find her peers quickly.
