I was for about 28 years (began at 13) and started eating meat again last year due to a different medical issue. I don't eat a lot of it.

Not the PP, but I had a feeling you were. I'm the one who asked about the iron deficiency, though. I would look at your diet.

I have been trying to make better choices. My doctor said after we re-test in a couple of weeks, we'll see if the B12 issue is diet-related or if there's something blocking absorption.
Either way, I hope to feel better. I realize there is still some grief going on anyway.

She said my iron levels were fine, just the D and B12 were off. I started megadoses of D today, and have 6 weeks of B12 shots beginning next week.

I've been hitting D3 and B12 like a maniac. Still very depressed. Have a good reason to be, and no amount of supplements can change that.

Over the past year or so, I have been feeling increasingly depressed. I figured this is due to a death in the family last year. However, I had a physical last week and my vitamins D and B12 levels are very, very low, way below minimum "normal." This has obviously been a long time coming, these numbers don't happen overnight, so I wonder if they have been contributing to the way I've been feeling. Does anyone have any experience with low vitamin levels and feeling depressed? Thanks everyone.
