I started using it b/c I needed something smaller for carpool a few times a week and found it was easier just to leave it in place. We still have a hard one that we use for trips.

Ditto on the advice to check for leaks. We are on our second one, but the first lasted a long time.

Our carpool uses it routinely for carpool days. Assume not for longer trips, but for long trips it's also easy to deal with the bigger hassle of shifting folks around to get buckles done up - that is only really a big pain when you're just going 5 min to the store.

I'd try the RideSafer vest.

I'd be sure to check it periodically to make sure the air doesn't leak out.

Also, have you checked the harmony carpooler? It has a very narrow profile: http://www.amazon.com/Harmony-Carpooler-Backless-Booster-Accents/dp/B0068UBEOW/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

I use th bubblebum on school days to take my kiddos to school. Don't think it would be comfortable for a long ride since so narrow but for quick trips around the city I've had no complaints

We have used it daily for a similar reason. An important point - make sure the headrest is the right height and th bubble bum has a shorter life than most traditional material boosters.

We need to have three booster seats in the back of our CR-V. We can technically fit three traditional booster seats but the seatbelt doesn't work well with the middle seat. A Bubble Bum seems to be a good solution but I am wondering if a Bubble Bum is just a travel booster and should not be used every day.

Does anyone use it daily? How does it hold up?
