I'm sure you thought of this, but I used that time to clean the house completely and do the outside chores, so when they returned I had more relaxed time with them.

Yes, I felt that way too. Plus scared for what might be happening to them. The best thing for me was to make plans in advance for my days off that I wasn't likely to blow off. Such as set up dinner with a friend, or buy tickets to a movie, or something like that. If my plans involved someone else or I had laid out money then I followed through and that got me out of the house and my mind on something else for most of the evening. That helped me get over the hump of missing the kids.

I'm having the absolute worst time dealing with life on the days my DC is with dad. I can't do anything. So depressed. Anyone else go through this? What did you do? I thought I would be happy with time to myself, but I hate not having my baby I can't do anything but mope.
