We could easily telework, but boss isn't a fan. We must telework on snow days when work is closed (you know, when it's convenient to them)

I work for an agency under DOI, GS 12, telework 1x/week or as needed.

I'm the pp. Pretty much everyone else in my Bureau teleworks, it's just my immediate office that doesn't allow it. Totally depends on your boss. Old boss loved telework, new one doesn't allow it at all.

At my friends agency they do 3 days a week. Most of them are GS11+. However most managers don't..

I know someone that works at the Patent Office who teleworks the majority of the time as well.

I think they said it was something due to space but sounds like it applies to a majority of the people they work with.

They were in the news not too long ago. I think it was something along the lines how they didn't work the hours they were supposed to for the majority of the month but close to the closing period would rush to finish the amount of things they were supposed to meet the goals.

Not sure if this is the right article but it's along the same lines:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/federal-eye/wp/2015/07/31/patent-office-stresses-quantity-over-quality-new-review-of-troubled-telework-program-finds/

Or might actually be this one, which was linked in the above article:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/federal-eye/wp/2015/04/14/the-u-s-patent-and-trademark-office-doesnt-know-if-patent-examiners-are-doing-their-jobs-watchdog-says/

(the people that I asked about this said it's just a few that does this but gives the rest a bad rap)

DOI, GS 12. Absolutely no telework.

We could easily telework, but boss isn't a fan. We must telework on snow days when work is closed (you know, when it's convenient to them)

I telework 5 days a week - GS-14
It is becoming more and more common in my agency - as space is at a premium. We are also hoteling employees (sharing offices) - one will work 3 days a week and the other 2 days a week- shared desk arrangement.
It depends on the position and whether or not you have a need to be in the office.

I'm a fed at the USPTO and telework full time. I rarely go into the office, like maybe once every 3 months. I'm a lawyer on the trademark side. I've been at the office 18+ years and at home 11+. We are hiring, but you need to be a lawyer. (for trademarks you don't need science or engineering)

OP, by presidential order all feds are supposed to be able to telework unless your job cannot be performed outside your duty station (you man a cash register in a cafeteria).

If there is something you need to know about a particular job series, ask.

Where do you work, what do you do, what is your GS level, and what is your telework agreement?
