We did twice...Very fun but don't stay more than 4 or 5 days. Too many people.

No. Too fake. We don't do resorts, with or without kids.

Yes, and I have 4 times. I've stayed in the Riyal Towers and the Cove. It's never been overrun with kids when I've been there. Usually in May. Once in summer. Cove has an adults only pool, and the water slides aren't for little kids anyway.
We love it there. Restaurants are decent and we love the casino.

The One and Only Ocean Club. Heaven. But expensive.

I just got back and thought it was very Vegas.

I would go, if I had suffered a brain injury or had learning difficulties.

Just came back from a work trip with my husband and son in tow. It was sooo NOT crowded in the fall but then you have to contend with hurricane season. I was very underwhelmed with it. So much was closed, under renovation or in need of a spruce. There wasn't any more kids or kids things around that would make adults feel uncomfortable. Id do the cove though. As far as Sandals, I have a friend you just returned from a business trip where she was reviewing Bahamaian properties and she through my Sandals was a bit tacky and to focused on the honeymooners..and she was there with her significant other.

DH and I went before kids. We had a blast. So many things to do for the young and the young at heart. We also commented how we were glad we did it as adults because it is so expensive.

We are thinking of taking the kids, now 5 and 8 but every time we discuss it, we remember how much it cost.

No. We would go to one of the gorgeous small boutique hotels on the other islands. Atlantis is just massive and crowded, but it is a personal choice.

I believe the Cove at the Atlantis is adults only.

I'm pretty sure there's a Sandals resort called Royal Bahamian? Sandals is for adult couples only.

When I look at reviews, it seems like more of a family oriented place than a place for an adults only trip. I've never been there, so I don't know if that's true or not. If it is a place better to go to with kids, are there any other hotels/resorts in the Nassau area that you would recommend for a trip without kids?
