And the other side of this. Why do older married men cheat?

I can never understand this. In the 20s, there are at least 2-3 times as many single men as women. Bars? 85% guys? Sporting events? 85% guys. Online? 75% guys.

They are young enough to believe in "true love" or some BS like that - that was the case for the two young women I know who ended up having a relationships with married men.

I think it's just for the experience. If they are attracted to the guy, they figure why not? It will be brief and no one will nkow.
I don't think that young single women who sleep with married men want or expect it to lead to anything serious.

Older women do this as much as younger women. It's not about age. It's about self esteem and other issues (love avoidance).

I only sleep with married men. I'm 48 and also married and it makes things less complicated. I have no interest in anything other than sex.

Maybe they don't realize the man is married. Men have been known to fib a bit in order to bed someone

I did twice. Once I did not know he was married--he lied and we met when he was traveling for business. The second was separated and said was getting a divorce. Once I realized he was not separated--they lived together--I ended it.

Because they are disgusting and pathetic. No empathy, sympathy or psychoanalyzing from me.

I think its different for every person. A friend of mine who did it just needed the sex. She would develop feelings for whoever she was sleeping with unless they were totally unavailable. She knew that she could sleep with him without it going anywhere.

I was going to write exactly this. My friend thought it was even harder to get married men, so she must be "that good."

Married men are older = more experienced, more interesting to talk to. Also the lure of the forbidden.
