No, not without an adult there with them. Myabe not event then. I wanted to take my middle schooler (13) to a show there (we live in the 'burbs), and we go to events in DC a lot, but I know the area around Echostage and decided not to do it (even with an adult along). Another parent and I both checked some online venue reviews and there was a lot of discussion about how limited and difficult parking was. Metro's a no-go. And as another person already mentioned, check the show -- some shows start earlier and are "all ages" and others are later and draw a different crowd. The show we would have seen was an all ages 7 p.m. show but I was familiar enough with that area of DC not to want to deal with the drive there, the parking issue, and having to slog home for over an hour from that part of DC. The act she wanted to see turned up in another venue a few months later that was much easier to get to and didn't give me concerns about its neighborhood. Just wait.
