One of my best was when my consultant paid for my parents and my husband and newborn to go to Ritz buffet at Tysons, yum!

My kids will be with their father for Thanksgiving so I'll be dining at Ruth's Chris alone to celebrate Thanksgiving and my birthday!

My favorite Thanksgiving was diner at the Williamsburg Inn with just us plus my parents. It was lovely!

Eating out is perfect. Tip big. Like 30-50%.

We might be eating out which will be a first. I'm not sure whether to be glad I don't have to cook, or sad I don't get to eat my own cooking.

We are eating out, too. No, it's not the same as the giant family gatherings when I was a kid, but I actually enjoy the holiday more by doing something different.

Anyone else eating out for the sake of sanity?

I am choosing the stop the crazy (to which I am contributing by having arguments in my head with people who are 100s of miles away) and have dinner at a local restaurant.

We have done this before and I have heard "It just isn't Thanksgiving..." but as it turns out, our definitions differ (and that crew isn't coming anyway).
