Please explain the very large number of refugees Lebanon and Jordan have taken in. Egypt and Iraq also have taken in lesser numbers, but still many multiples of the 10,000 being discussed for the US.
Jordan is the only country I know that has taken in Palestinian refugees. I don't know about Lebanon.
I think this is a a little known fact. Middle East countries hate Israel and claim to support the Palestinian states, but with the exception of Jordan they don't actually support them.
I'm not at all shocked they haven't accepted any Syrian refugees, based on their track record.

They like to treat foreigners like the hired help that can be fired and sent packing whenever the urge strikes. The countries are also the primary funders of the conflict. Because of their involvement in the conflict, they are aware that it will not be resolved soon and, therefore, they will be stuck with any refugees they accept. The last thing they want to do is get stuck with a bunch of foreigners, especially if any Christians or Alawis happen to be among them.
