The leash should attach in the front on the chest.

We used a gentle leader too, My dog wasnt a huge fan of it but it certainly stopped the pulling.
I asked them to open it in the store ( petsmart) and show me how to use it too...

I would not get one of those awful spiky collars though. Those are barbaric and IMO just lazy.

Anyone have experience breaking an older, large, strong dog of pulling on the leash when on walks?

We re going to work on obedience training generally, and "heeling" will be at the top of my list! But in the meantime, any BTDT suggestions on what to do for a terribly puller?

She is just so excited it takes my whole weight and two arms to control her.
