The only way that works is when the final mat is far enough from a end city. When the season that finished in DC a few years ago, the final stop was Mount Vernon, a very easy drive from the DC limits. I am thinking that a car company wouldn't sponsor the show this time (Ford has in years past), and that is why the final leg is more on cabs than driving themselves.

It was all Justin, all the time. Poor Diana has no clue what she's in for. On a different note, I, too, am disappointed to hear the next cast is all celebrity wanna-bes. I much prefer real people.

Obvious ploy to drive up their social media numbers. Who knows what it will mean to current fans, but I don't think I'll like it.

What I love about AR is ordinary people in extraordinary situations. I don't think it will be the same if everyone in the cast is playing to the camera and trying to out-perform each other.

But maybe I'm just old.

Thoughts on the tease that was given after last night's finale for the new season that starts in February?

Agree with everything. I'll watch it because I love the Race. But I could live without most of the current teams. I think my favorites are the cheerleaders because they seem genuinely excited when they finish a challenge.

The TMZ girls, who were eliminated first this season, were likely my favorite team. They had so much potential for good snark in the season! I was bummed to see them go. Also bummed when the rappers exited.

+2 on all of the above. Love AR and will watch it no matter what, but I wish they wouldn't cast silly Internet/YouTube personalities. Who cares? I much prefer regular people. I was also disappointed when the TMZ girls crashed and burned first. They were kind of mean, but their snark was really hilarious and spot-on. They called Arkansas mom and son, James Earl "a bit Bates Hotel," which cracked me up. Speaking of which, Arkansas mom is HORRENDOUS. I really can't stand to look at her or hear her histrionics. Gag.

I agree about the TMZ girls. Otherwise, I typically don't get behind a team until towards the final 4 or 5, when they have more time to spend on each team. Can't really get a feel for a team when time is spread out over 11 teams. Plus, they can do some serious spin. In past seasons I've noticed I'll dislike a team until the final 2 legs, when suddenly it seems they stop showing all the irritating or unlikable things they do, and focus more on their charm or whatever.

Agreed....the ratings for a Friday night show have been good, but this may turn people off.
Just glad that somehow Frankie Grande didn't get on the cast. He was so annoying on Big Brother.

I prefer when they cast regular people. I'd rather they pick smart contestants than famous people and create more difficult tasks. Usually, the tasks are completed in ther order they arrive and that is boring.
