Interviewer who also agrees. That's terrible. I would be annoyed and would email her and cc the admissions office.

Agreed. Definitely CC the admissions office and the DC rep if you can find their name. That way they can take this interviewer off their list if he/she aren't reliable and try to find the kid another interviewer. Sorry about this! I know it is stressful.

Send the email but also contact the admissions office. These interviews are not required, but you want to make sure that the interviewee didn't mark the applicant down as a no-show.

First time she cancelled because of an "emergency", today she was a no show. This for an Ivy. My kid is 4, it's for a neighbor who is a first generation college applicant and I've been helping him a bit.

I advised her to contact the interviewer with a "sorry I missed you today" type email and see what she says. Is there any downside to also contacting the admissions office and letting them know that she is having a hard time connecting with her interviewer?
