On another note. How would you feel if a daycare said they "partnered with a local company that offered fresh food" and then found out the daycare was giving your toddler Pizza Hut twice a week?

Sounds like you should stay at home or find a nanny.

Our center offers food but don't seem to have any problem with parents who prefer to bring food from home, which some do.

How does it work at commercial daycares?

Find another daycare or get an obedient nanny so that you can control what your child eats.

how old is your child? If she is 12 months or older your provider should be able to use good judgement and feed her what the other kids are eating.
If your child is the only one bringing food from home and you don't want her to eat the provider's food I would guess that the provider is a little bit put off by this. You should let her eat what the other kids are eating, assuming it is healthy. Or find an organic daycare.

Is this a home daycare?

Anyone make your own food even though daycare provides USDA food plan? I'm having trouble communicating to my provider that I prefer to bring my own food. I am not super organic myself but have been recommended to do organic with babies. Is there a way to handle this without sounding uptight? Also, we are still trying different kinds of foods to check for allergies (not following 3 day rule) but caregiver has gone ahead and given all sorts of foods at once and things DD has never tried.
