Reducing late buses by one day a week is misleading. DC 's HS went to one late bus per week this year already. So it would eliminate late buses.

No, both proposals are listed in the $50m and $75m scenarios. I'm not really sure what to make of the Recommendation paper either. But since it's just a suggestion, at this, point, anyway...

Without busing, I doubt our center would exist....and many of the feeder schools, maybe all, have b/t 5 and 45 kids total going to the center. How's that going to work?

This can't happen soon enough. It's ridiculous to pay for busing. Make parents stay at their base or drive their kids.

It's also going to involve some redistricting, maybe some major redistricting in some areas.

why would you say you are eliminating busing to center "IF there is a local level 4" since according to the other term, all ESs will have local level 4. Why the "if" -- it seems as though there would be few centers if there is no busing at all.
you can get to centers by car.

All elementaries do not have enough students to support a local level IV.
Having seen the jostling over advance math placement in our very good non center elementary, I will say that this idea sounds like huge headaches for principals everywhere.
The no bussing idea is a good one though.

you are eliminating busing to centers when there is a local level 4, then aren't you eliminating all AAP busing to all centers?
So, what is the point of having centers?

On page 35, I see add level IV to all elementary school and eliminate transportation to centers if level iv is offered at the base. I do not see eliminate centers.

There should not be bussing. Parents should be responsible for transportation just like they are for Immersion programs.
