We do this with my 11 year old and his friends and parents agreed to put the largest child in front. Mine happens to be the smallest and there is no way he can sit in the front (49 inches, 60 pounds) but one of his friends is taller than me so it's totally fine- just discuss with the parents and pick the kids that can sit up front.

I would if the front seat belt fit the oldest child properly and his parents (if not you) consented. I would only allow him to ride in front when all the rear seats were filled.

The minimum recommended age is 13, regardless of size.

I wouldn't do carpool, but put the biggest/heaviest up front with the seat pushed all the way back with a good belt fit. It would not be my preference.

There are lots of issues with this...Would it always be the same child in front? Yours? (I assume you'd want to allow this only during the times all four children are in the car.) Are the other parents OK with allowing their children to ride in the front underage if it's not yours? Would you have them sign a waiver? Does the front seat belt fit any of the children properly?

If it's your kid riding up front and you're ok with it than I would do it. Depends if you think your kid is ready to ride up front. One of my sons is tiny and at 12 I still make him ride in the back.
