It's been a strength - I think they see it as an admirable trait (not waffly, true to my word, etc). And, yes, have gotten offers after saying this. (I also make an excellent first impression, which helps.)

(humility is clearly not your weakness, LOL)
It makes sense - even the organizations that practice the most "flexible" moral code will not admit it to a prospective recruit.

I have said something that is a weakness for my current job but that would likely be irrelevant for the new job.

For example, when interviewing for in-house counsel positions I have said while I can do the business development aspect of my job as a lawyer at a law firm, I am not a natural sales person so it is not my strength.

I've totally done the "perfectionist" shtick, which is true but tired. Sometimes I get a little more honest and say "If it's a matter of principle versus relationships, principle is going to win."
