I actually don't know. I also don't care. The ads will load, but won't display. I don't know if I'll get credit for that or not. If you turn off Flash altogether, non-Flash ads will display. Either way, you will still load the ads that aren't Flash, so that will contribute revenue. That's enough for me.

Or, turn off Flash altogether. That is even better for security.

Go here:

http://hoyois.github.io/safariextensions/clicktoplugin/

And download the ClickToFlash extension. It will prevent Flash from running unless you click on the flash to make it start. This is good for security and will prevent the problems you are seeing.

There are so many ads with I don't know what - Flash, maybe? - that my system has trouble handling them. Is there anything I can do about this, like ad choices or something like that? I'm sorry to ask and sorry to be so technically uninformed that I don't know the right terminology to explain the problem. Thank you.
